Chantilly Lace with Lia Baumeister-Jonker - Newest video from Hensel Productions for those who would love to lear how to work this fine lace.  This video provides instruction in the techniques needed to make three edgings in Chantilly lace.  A Chantilly bookmark pattern is included as extra practice in applying the techniques presented.  One repeat of each edging pattern is worked on camera with pin-by-pin insturction. By viewing this tape from start to finish before beginning to make the lace, one will gain a good understanding of how Chantilly is made.

Color In Torchon - featuring Jean Leader. This program will show how using colors can transform a simple Torchon pattern and provide endless possibilities for experimentation. The first two patterns are designed to show how pairs move through the lace when using different stitches and techniques.  This knowledge is then used to control where the colors move in the following three patterns for an edging, square mat, and bookmark. An additional pattern for a square mat is also included. The instructions assume that the lacemaker already knows how to wind bobbins, make a pricking, and work basic stitches. But starting, finishing, working ground stitches, spiders, cloth stitch diamonds, roseground, footside edge, and two different fans are explained step by step.  Running time 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Russian Tape Lace - A new video produced by Hensel Productions featuring teacher Lia Baumeister Johner.  It is in color and is 135 minutes long, complete with two patterns. Lia provides step-by-step instructions for making a tape lace butterfly from the Vologda region of Russia.  Lia's instruction is very detailed.                                                                                                   This video would be appropriate for both a beginning lacemaker who knows how to make a cloth stitch as well as the more advanced lacemaker who wants to further her skills.
